titaniumframes
TITANIUM FRAMES

This is a premium frame material. Titanium is a metal which is extremely light, flexible and strong with the added benefit of being allergy-free and non-corrosive.

memoryframes
MEMORY FLEX FRAMES

‘Flexon’ and ‘Titanflex’ are the most common trade names for this frame material, which is a mix of titanium and nickel. This metal is extremely flexible and offers excellent durability. It is most commonly used in parts of the frames such as the bridge and the temples (sides), where such qualities are needed most. (These are the frames you may see advertised twisted around a finger without breaking!)

STAINLESS STEEL FRAMES

Stainless steel is made from a very strong metal alloy. These frames can be made very thin and still maintain their strength and flexibility. Like Titanium, it contains no nickel, therefore it is hypo-allergenic and resistant to corrosion.

rimlessframes
RIMLESS FRAMES

Three-piece rimless and semi-rimless glasses are common variations that differ from regular glasses in that their frames do not completely encircle the lenses. Three-piece rimless glasses have no frame around the lenses, and the bridge and temples are mounted directly onto the lenses. Semi-rimless glasses have a frame that only partially encircles the lenses (commonly the top portion).

ACETATE FRAMES

Acetate frames are often recommended to people with higher prescriptions as the frames have the ability to hide the lens thickness. Acetate is a hypo-allergenic, lightweight plastic and has more transparency and gloss than other plastic frame materials.

spxframes
SPX FRAMES

SPX is another form of hypo-allergenic plastic that is considerably lighter than acetate. SPX has a very hard external surface which prevents scratches and makes it more resistant to solvents ensuring the frame retains its polished appearance. SPX is a very fine material which provides the appearance of a metal frame with the comfort of a plastic frame.
